CONTRACT MANAGER (REMOTE OR ON-SITE)


About

The Contracts Manager will perform day to day preparation and management of study agreements and other client-related documents. This position will be full-time. • Prepare Study Agreements (Study Agreements include but are not limited to Master Service Agreements, Letters of Intent, Statements of Work, Study Specific Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Subcontractor Agreement, Clinical Trial Agreements (Multi and External Site Studies) Preferred Provider Agreements, and other agreements requested by management, whether or not directly related to or in support of any study). • Service as point of contact to facilitate legal review. • Track and report data surrounding Study Agreement management and execution as defined by management. • Communicate necessary information to Finance, Operations, Business Development and key stakeholders regarding Study Agreement execution and details. • Follow and troubleshoot processes as necessary to optimize time and cost savings, as well as increase quality in the process of generation, negotiation, and execution of Study Agreements. • Independently review, edit, and negotiate all Study Agreement terms and conditions in accordance with company policies and guidelines. • Advise departments on Study Agreement formats and negotiation strategy. • Independently coordinate Subcontractor Agreements such that the terms and conditions are in compliance with the associated Sponsor Master Service Agreement, Study Specific Agreement, Work Order, or other relevant Agreement, and allow Operations to properly supervise such subcontractor. • Develop and negotiate Change Orders to Study Agreements independently in coordination with Finance, Operations, Business Development and key stakeholders • Perform cash flow analysis and generate payment schedules in coordination with Finance for Study Agreements in accordance with contract management guidelines • Participation in meetings Sponsors, Subcontractors, Finance, Operations, Business Development and key stakeholders. • Provide updates on all outstanding Study Agreements to Management on a weekly basis or as otherwise required • Develop a working knowledge of multiple market segments and various lines of service to insure proper contract terms for all types of studies. • Assess business risk associated with contractual terms and provide guidance to management. • Ability to complete a high volume of Study Agreements in a timely and professional manner. JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree required. Degree emphasis in business or life science discipline preferred. Minimum of 6+ years in the Pharmaceutical or CRO industry experience preferred Minimum of 6+ years contract management experience Problem solving and negotiation skills required Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail Must be able to work independently Experience and comfort in a high volume, fast paced environment is essential. Strong interpretation skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external. Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and be flexible to address needs of multiple market segments and various lines of service. Prior experience and familiarity with fee generation, payment schedules, contracts and client interaction and negotiation preferred.
